Scandinavian Holidays I love it when the kids sit in the window, trying to see if Santa is coming. – Karin Södervall / Swede You don't have to be Swedish to enjoy festive Scandinavian traditions or delicacies in and around Boston. Make sure to come hungry. The evening begins with traditional Swedish September through June from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Enjoy delicious open-faced glögg, a mulled red wine, followed by the Lucia procession and Christmas Scandinavian sandwiches, including shrimp, salmon, and meatballs with pickled songs sung by Lucia girls in the candlelit Nordic Hall. The smörgåsbord cucumbers, as well as homemade waffles, cookies, and cakes along with a cup follows, complete with three kinds of Swedish herring; Swedish baked ham; of coffee or tea.
