There are two things that stand out to me concerning the exciting plans being developed by the Weston 300 Committee," says Michael Harrity, chair, Town of Weston Board of Selectmen. "First, it is inspiring to witness the commitment and creativity of the many people who have volunteered to plan and manage the events and activities. Second, it's gratifying to see that this milestone will include three distinct elements: reflections on three centuries of Weston's history, highlights of the character of Weston today, and lasting improvements that will be a legacy of this commemoration for decades to come." WEST ON 300 COMM E MORA TION 13 January 2013 12 January January To kick off the yearlong party, and to honor this 300-year milestone, the Weston 300 Committee is hosting an official Tercentennial Commemoration in the Weston Town Hall at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 12. The event will feature a town proclamation, commentary by town and state dignitaries, and a choral celebration.
