every night, along came Row 34 — a seafood spot that you might call a spinoff if it didn't have such an identity of its own — in the Fort Point neighborhood of Boston. That was followed by a second Row 34 location in Portsmouth, New Hampshire; then a second I.C.O.B. in Burlington; and just this year, he opened Les Sablons, an urbane French-leaning boîte in Cambridge's Harvard Square. Oh, and for good measure, he still oversees the kitchen at Eastern Standard, too. Each of the above was opened by the same team of friends and col- leagues: Sewall, plus restaurant indus- try veteran guru Garrett Harker, and Island Creek Oysters' owner, Skip Bennett. (Both Row 34's teams also include Island Creek's Shore Gregory.) And each of the restaurants reflects, in one way or another, Sewall's vision of hospitality and hard work, food and family, and how they all intersect.
