Sages & Seekers "I can't believe I'm saying this," she said to me as we concluded our first conversation (after I had promised to consider joining her pro- gram), "I think I started to channel something out of thin air right then and there." A Brilliant Program That "something" became Sages & Seekers. In breaking down the barri- ers age tends to erect around elders, it enriches their sense of self-esteem through a better understanding of their lives. Meanwhile, teens build empathy toward older people and learn how to relate to them as peers. And how to put this simply? The kids get a good, hard dose of what it's like to have made a life over the course of seven or eight decades.
