The Reverend Adrian Robbins-Cole St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Wellesley The Reverend Adrian Robbins-Cole describes St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Wellesley as a strong, welcoming community for whatever stage of one's spiritual journey. Rector there since 2013, Robbins-Cole said for all its vibrancy and openness, the church is not trying to be all things for all people. "Different denominations speak to different people," he said. Rather than grasping for ways to appeal to everyone, he sees a beauty in con- tinuing to share a liturgy and music that is "steeped in Christian tradi- tion," but also not stuck in the past. He describes the Episcopal church as having three legs: scripture, tradition, and reason. This means one can fully engage the mind and rational thought while wrestling with the ancient issues of faith. "The mystery of God cannot be encompassed, nor put in one neat package. Understanding and growing into one's beliefs is a life-long journey that is unique to each and every person," he said.
