She relayed one story about working with a Wareham school while applying for a grant through a program honoring Boston Marathon bombing victim Martin Richard. "Although it was a pleasure to be able to work with some incredible students, it was also a little bit stressful because I almost missed an exam," she said, noting her mother's support throughout. Wellesley High senior Sierra Levanto launched a venture in early 2015 called PandaBaby whose mission is to sell parents and caretakers on a brand new sort of cloth diaper to address "the mind-blowing waste of disposable diapers." The 17-year-old, who designed her own prototypes and then part- nered with an overseas manufacturer to produce these colorful, easy-to-wash, and relatively inexpensive baby necessities, is quick to rattle off numbers making her cawse about the environmental impact of disposables.
