and pear salad, smoked salmon with cream cheese, asparagus with dill sauce, Caprese salad, Virginia ham, a selection of domestic cheeses and fruit, dessert, and beverages ($52 per person). A Baby Shower menu is also served buffet style for a minimum of fifteen people and includes finger sandwiches or house-made quiche, Caprese salad, green olives and hummus dip presentation, fresh fruit salad, pomegranate punch or iced tea, and biscotti or cookies ($46 per person). Aylward has ambitious plans for her bak- ery, wanting to make it a cultural hub for the Wellesley community, bringing people, artists, and thinkers together over sweets and casual food in a comfortable, shabby-chic setting in the center of Wellesley. To achieve just the right "vibe," she has taken steps to provide an engaging, tempting setting for patrons to sample sweets and light fare, and to be enter- tained and informed by some of the talented artists who come through her doors. There is no WiFi at Susu, and this was intentional on the part of the owner: rather than have yet another bakery and coffee spot where people tune out the surroundings and focus on their laptop screens or iPhones.
