symptoms, including joint and chronic pain, cognitive and neurological problems, sleep problems, severe muscle aches, and other symptoms. An Isolating Disease As with Brandi, many of these Lyme patients have been told by their doctors that these symptoms were psychological and caused by anxiety. Brandi's story started in the emergency room four years ago and still continues. She has found, like many chronic Lyme disease patients, that being on long-term antibiotics (also controversial since many doctors say that can do more harm than good) is the only way she can manage her symptoms.
