Twinkly lights. A fresh snowfall. Scrumptious food. Festive drinks. Music. Family. Firelight. Friends. And the joy of giving. But with the nostalgia ultimately comes the reality of holiday stress. It hits us like a cold front before our Thanksgiving turkeys go in the oven and doesn't give way until the New Year's ball has dropped. Realities like never-ending Christmas and Hanukkah lists. Tight budg- ets. Long lines at the mall. Late-night wrapping. And kids who tear through package after package, still unsatisfied. The truth is that while the holidays are filled with tradition and special moments, it's easy to get derailed and completely miss the joy of the season.
