Walter Oechsle's daughter, Tina Vasconcelles of Wellesley, is the treasurer of AFS' Wellesley chapter and a liaison to host family and exchange students from Germany. "It has been exciting to see kids from all over the world having as positive an experience as my dad had over 60 years ago," explains Tina of her decision to support the pro- gram. "My father's life changed fundamentally because of AFS. He had an extraordinary host family who helped him apply to colleges in the US, as well as with finances to attend Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.
