meeting John, an engineer whom she liked instantly from his profile, and they are now dating exclusively. Betsy discovered that dating multiple men at the same time made her uncomfortable and that both she and her matches, who were obviously doing the same thing, were having a difficult time keeping information straight about their dates. She recalls that one man she went out with confused the East Coast college she had attended with another, even though they had had a lengthy conversation about it just a few days earlier. Betsy says Match.com worked for her because they sent her a variety of possible matches daily, as well as giving her the option of searching or "trolling" their online data- bases to see if anyone caught her fancy. A former Wellesley resident who recently moved to another suburb, Ellen, 63, also met her current live-in boyfriend on Match.com.
