Specializing in kiln-formed glass, Ms. Burke crafts pieces with textural effects that are unusual in the medium. Her semi-abstract landscapes include trees, sometimes flameworked, with visibly textured leaves; as well as works with rippled water. Bowls and platters often feature sandblasted patterns or embossed fabriclike textures.
