Jerry Bruckheimer. [Producer of CSI, Pirates WWM: And one question for the parents of of the Caribbean, The Lone Ranger] those kids. Is it possible to make a living as an actor? WWM: You have been in Hollywood during JH: Yes it is possible. But you have to be a time of rapid change. Has this impacted willing to work hard. your career in any way? JH: When I first got here there were four independent networks — CBS, NBC, ABC, and FOX — and they were interested exclusively in television. Today those networks are part of conglomerates that have other goals. It is also harder to get cast on a TV show and it is definitely much harder to keep a TV series on the air. WWM: Any words of wisdom for any young people in Wellesley or Weston that "think they could do acting for real?" JH: If you love it, really love it, then do it. Get involved where you can, work hard at it, and the opportunities will present themselves. Have fun with it. If it isn't fun, then it definitely isn't worth it. WWM: That sounds so easy. JH: It's not. You have to get used to putting ularly. And it really doesn't get better over time. It's like the feeling when the girl that you really like doesn't like you anymore. If you can deal with that, you'll be fine. 63 s u m m e r 2 0 1 3 | We l l e s l e y We s t o n M a g a z i n e yourself out there and getting rejected — reg-
