"We want to encourage college students, typically physical therapy majors, who are interested in this type of career of working with people with disabilities," Belichick says. These days, she is a co-owner of the Art of Tile and Stone on Washington Street in Wellesley, and she still fields a team for the Mayor's Cup Regatta each year, racing in the name of the tile establishment and showroom. In The Mix About 2,000 people a year get moving in AccesSport programs. "The age range is 5 to 95, literally," says Lilley. "We recently supported a 95-year-old windsurfer, recovering from a stroke." The compelling mission of AccesSport has drawn in a diverse mix of people in the community, transcending the boundaries of families living with disabilities. "To me, the biggest differentiator of AccesSport is that it's never been about able-bodied versus disabled, or one population only," says Dan Gurian, a member of the board of directors and a wealth manager/senior portfolio man- AccesSport events are mixed, with everyone working together."
