What immediately struck the Belichicks is that there were disabled people involved in the event. "That's what the group is all about — encouraging everyone's participation, because physical activities enhance health and well-being. It's not just about raising money," she emphasizes. Since that summer day over a decade ago, Debby Belichick has remained a staunch supporter, and her impact is multifarious. "The main activity we did as a family for quite a while was paddling in a canoe race as 'The Belichick Team' at the annual Mayor's Cup Regatta on the Charles River each summer," she says.
